The main products of OKITIPUPA Oil Palm Plc are Crude Palm Oil, Technical Oil, Palm Kernel, Sterin [pharmaceutical], Palm wine, Broom, Seedlings, Ashes, Brown Soap, Nursery Practices, potential for Vegetable Oil, potential for Oil Fat.
Top grade of the oil produced is Special Palm Oil (SPO) constituting more than 80% of OKITIPUPA Oil Palm Plc’s sales volume. Lower grades of Palm Oil include Technical Palm Oil and Sludge.
These are mainly supplied to industrial users to manufacture soaps,
margarine, vegetable oils, etc. Also, palm kernel and other lower
grades of palm oil attract various customers who use them for household
purposes. Since the inception of the company, oil products
have been sold in bulk. These products constitute major contribution
towards Nigeria’s drive to self-sufficiency in some of its industrial
raw material. Nationally, there is still a gap between the supply and
demand for Special Palm Oil. It is in this regard that OKITIPUPA Oil
Palm Plc as part of its medium term strategy plans to develop her
Reserve Areas to further boost its production. The energy saving project, through the conversion of wastes which is produced in abundance, will be included to generate steam and electricity. This project is expected to automatically increase profits and stimulate steady growth. The completion of this phase of re engineering will usher in an era of increased profits. This will pave way for early resumption of dividend declaration and payment.
The processing of palm kernel to crude palm kernel oil and cake
shall soon be embarked on. This requires acquisition of palm kernel
crushing plant and further investment in bleaching plant and machinery
that will convert both crude palm kernel oil and red palm oil to
vegetable oil and other byproducts. These byproducts will further be
used as raw materials by many manufacturing outfits in the country.
Implementation of the above is aimed
to further enhance diversification of OKITIPUPA Oil Palm Plc's
revenue earning capabilities. Thereby transforming into higher
turnover, increased profit, stable dividend declaration and payment
regimes.
